Many people have back pain on and off for life. Heat, NSAIDS, and stretching can help to relieve the pain. Over the long haul, you should seek the help of your physician and/or physical therapist in devising an exercise plan.

well, if it is chronic that means that it will last for a long time.

Chronic would mean that it will be around for awhile and if it ever eases then there is a risk it will always return. If you really have diagnosed chronic pain then your doctor would go over all your pain treatments. If you haven't been diagnosed then head to the doctor and see about rehabilitation. I had horrible back pain for about 6 years and I went through an extensive rehab program and now I rarely feel pain.
