Help! Sudden pain in upper right leg, lowest portion right back?

Okay, I’m really getting scared here. First off, i’m a 22 year old male, healthy, active etc with no history of leg or back injuries. Last tuesday, I started noticing a weird pain and soreness in my upper right leg (thigh?) that made it a little difficult to walk. Wasn’t horrible, like i wasn’t limping cripple, but it was a little painful and slowed me down a bit. By Tuesday night, the pain had moved to the lowest portion of the right side of my back. Up until today, the pain transitions between both of those spots. The pain ceases to exist when I’m sitting laying down, put when I’m walking on it, that’s when it’s worst. I’ve also noticed that the pain seems to ease up slightly once I’m up walking around for a while, and that it’s at it’s worst when I’ve been sitting for awhile (say, driving) and then suddenly stand up and walk. I’m pretty physically active (treadmill, skateboard), so at first I assumed it was just soreness, but having been athletic for long enough, I know that these symptoms are unrelated to any of those things. I sustained no injuries to my knowledge. I don’t have insurance, and of course, my mind is traveling to the worst places (cancer, etc), so any advice would be much appreciated.

Maybe try some active-on muscle rub it comes in a tube that looks like a giant tube of chap-stick lol it sound like maybe a pulled muscle or maybe torn cartilage.
I don’t think it is cancer. I have been in medical field for more than 15 years and it sounds more like a pulled muscle but can’t be sure without an exam.
If this goes on for more than 7 days go to a doctor most doctors cost are about $100 and will work out a payment plan if needed.
    Good Luck.

sounds like sciatica to me. it sucks. i get flare up sometimes and it hurts bad. lay on a hard surface and prop your legs on a chair or something bent at the knees. do this for 15 mins twice a day. also take 600mg of ibuprofen daily
