Need help with my joint/hip pain?

I’m 24 years old and I’ve been experiencing joint pain for 10 years now, with all of my doctors telling me either I’m getting growing pains, or thinking I’m trying to get medication. I have VERY loud popping in both hips and knees, which has been noted by a doctor. I have a hard time sitting in place for more than an hour, as my joints start to ache. This has gotten a little better recently, but hasn’t completely gone away. I’ve also had many x-rays that do not show any wear on my bones, or signs of arthritis (though my aunt does have rheumatoid arthritis).

I went to physical therapy, like he suggested, to no avail. I also took several medications for the pain, all of which I had to stop taking because of stomach discomfort (Mobic, Celebrex, etc). I’m pretty active, and used to run track in my high school years. I quit that after the pain worsened, and stick to low impact exercise now.

Does anyone know what exactly this could be, or has experienced anything like this?

    Nellie Bly Says:

Trouble sitting could indicate bursitis of the hips.It could indicate problems with the lumbar spine.Knees can be taped with 2 inch cover roll stretch and leukotape to keep the muscle positioned correctly.Very comfortable.Spine, hips, knees–they can affect each other. Try taking pepcid or zantac along with your meds.Finding a good chiropractor may be helpful.Maybe stick to walking and stretching for now.
