What helps with tendon pain?

Between a year and a half ago, and 2 years, I began experiencing pain in some of my tendons. It began in my right foot, and was ruled in as being Plantar Fasciitis. Next I developed a lump on the outside of my left knee. Then my left hip joint began to hurt. Next was my shoulder. After that, my lower back. Then, my middle finger on my right hand, and the index on my left.

I have received injections in my foot and middle finger, for the pain. (Like Cortizone shots, but less expensive). I am currently taking Indomethacin for inflammation, and Tylenol 3 with Codeine, for the pain. I have been tested for arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and many other things.

Now, I’m 22 years old and I’m at a loss. I cannot afford medication because I am unemployed. I am unemployed because I hurt all the time. So why do I hurt?

Someone help me?

Ideally you should see a physical therapist – they’ll get you where you belong. They have a machine that applies approx. 1-5 joules (I think) of pulsed electricity to the tendon area – which increases circulation to the area.

Since you can’t go, I’d have someone massage the area HARD.

You might have something else – like arthritis or an auto-immune disorder – you might want to seek out medical help.

    Take care,

    KC

Unfortunately, this is just one of those things you’re going to have to find a way to see a doctor about. Other than constantly smoking marijuana to help alleviate some of the pain (which you probably couldn’t afford, either – plus, it’s illegal) as a temporary solution, there isn’t much else you can do to help yourself.

It sounds like you have some legitimate issues that need medical treatment. You may call around and try to find a free clinic or hospital program for people who have financial troubles.
