Cousin is cancer survivor. She takes marijuana (illegaly) pain control (peripheral neuropathy). Which jobs…
…which types of jobs are likely not often subject to drug testing?
She was a nurse before cancer, and is currently on disability, but would like to train for a new, less physically demanding career, so she can get off disability one day.

Chemo gave her permanent nerve damage and therefore chronic pain, so she needed pain control meds. Euphoric reactions, adverse reactions, allergic reactions, hypersentivity, etc. to a variety of expensive, damaging and/or addictive meds, including methodone and fentanyl, she studied alternatives, finally choosing marijuana and a vaporizer. It gives just enough relief, without causing physical or mental problems, or euphoric effect. After 1 year of light to moderate daily use, head is still clear and memory is still good.
She refused to touch the stuff in all her 35 years pre-cancer, but at 38 she is using it for medicinal purposes, and doing very well with it. She won’t be trying anything else, so please, don’t preach.

November 13th, 2009 at 7:38 amI think most companies now drug test. My mom died of cancer and pot was the only thing that helped with the nausea of chemo. If your friend could find a job that just test new employees only. She could use prescription meds for a month to get a clean drug test for pot. I don’t think it should be any companies business what someone does in there own home.
i think she should get online and find a at home telemareting job in which she could set her own hour
