lower back pain now spreads up to middle section around spine, is this something serious?

I work in an office so my lower back started to hurt about a year ago, after that i’ve been doing more exercises at the gym.

the lower back pain is not as bad as last year but it’s still there.

however, when i press my spine area above my lower spine i can feel pain/discomfort that i didn’t have before so it feels like to me the pain has spread along my spine

I am just curious if this is normal and i just need to exercise more or get a massage

or

am I in trouble maybe i have something growing inside of my spine?

Thanks

Well first off, you should be stretching from sitting in the same place 8 hours. Second, if it’s gotten worse you probably want to go see your physician. DON’T go to a chiropractor…they are phony and will just crack your back and actually make your back worse so you will keep coming back. They actually lie to you to get more money out of you. (My mom and Matt both went to chiropractors, and they lied and said he didn’t have scoliosis when he did). Take frequent breaks while you’re at work to get up and walk around, and stretch, just don’t sit there all day whatever you do. And like I said, go to your physician to make sure it’s nothing serious. Good luck hun, hope you feel better :)

It sounds like you may not have the right back support. I have an office job as well, and I’ve learned (the hard way) that posture is key when sitting all day…

To put your mind at ease, go see your doctor as soon as possible to rule out anything serious. In the meantime, be careful not to strain your back in your normal routine (use your legs more when lifting instead of bending over). Try a back brace for extra support. If you don’t mind taking medication, I find that Aleve works better on backaches and other muscle cramps. Also, a warm compress may help ease the tension at night while you’re resting.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Okay, First, talk with your doctor about this.. I don’t know that much about spinal conditionals except to say it MIGHT be a
problem with the disks in that area..
    Good luck to you!
