Really terrible back pain? Need a little relief!?

Due to a migraine condition, I’ve been forced to lie down for 30 of the last 58 hours. My back is so incredibly stiff right now I’d believe you if you told me there was a steel rod tied to my spine. I can’t stretch, turn, bend, or sit here for too long without my entire lower-back just starting to THROB. It’s killing me.

What can I do to relieve at least a little bit of this agony? My brother is picking me up a heating pad tomorrow, but not until late. I’ve taken Tylenol, and it isn’t even helping me a little bit.

try a hot shower. If that doesn’t help, try a cold shower.

Aleve (naprosyn) or ibuprofen are more useful with this sort of pain.

try an ice pack. If necessary, use it in combination with heat. 20 minutes of either one is about right. Don’t overdo it, or you could damage your skin.

Soak in a nice hot bath with radox if you have it. It eases my back which I suffer with all the time.
