What is this pain in my lower left back?

Hey everyone! I am an female 18-year-old college student with a large amount of pain in my lower left back, between my lowest rib and the very top of the start of my hips. The onset was gradual, but has increasingly gotten work in the past few weeks. I would describe my pain as a sore, dull, achy pain. Movement and pressure on the site makes the pain worse. Massage, tylenol, ice, and heat are ineffective. I have done no major exercise that would have brought the onset. I do not have similar pain on the right side.

The pain can be coming from your sacroiliac joint so see a doctor. You would likely benefit from physical therapy to address this.

Sometimes diet and working out basically is not the be-all and end-all, because there will be excess weight basically sitting around in your insides. It is not body fat, so it can’t be melted off, nevertheless it will be rinsed out, basically by using a supplement. http://dimock.hotstardiet.info has a risk free offer available at the moment, I tried it and lost seventeen pounds!! Who says there is no magic bullet? LOL!!!

It could be from the way you carry your books or backpack, or even your bed or pillow.
Try the Mayo Clinic symptom checker to see if you can get further clues as to possible causes: (or go to mayoclinic.com and find the symptom checker):

Its hard to say but as its just on one side it may be that you are carrying your books/bags on that side? My physio recommended that I swim to help strengthen my lower back muscles & use a compressive back support which worked like magic.

I have the same type of pain on the opposite side and my pain is from adhesions. I take 440 mg of Naproxen 2 times a day and it helps.
I think you should see your doctor for exam.
