Why do I have Pain in left lower abdomen after gallbladdder removal?

I had gallbladder removal 10 days ago. All my incision sites look good and feel fine. I am even eatinging normally. But I have this pain that feels like muscle soreness in my LEFT lower stomach. What could be causing this?

One thing I found when I had my gallbladder removed was that the pain medicine caused me to be somewhat constipated. That can cause pain like that in your lower stomach. If you’ve been constipated, that could be causing the pain. If that’s not the case, call up your doctor and see if there is a chance that you’ve developed some sort of infection, or if there is something else going on.

It is fairly common for gall bladder operations to take a long time to heal up internally and many people suffer abdominal pain – but usually on the right side of the body. Although the pain could be due to some form of infection in the bile duct that is creating ‘referred’ pain, I suspect your problem is due to stress-induced pain which could well present as muscular discomfort. I know my father suffered exactly the symptoms you describe and it turned out to be stress-related. I have been told of a portable health product that can deal with pain, wound and stress conditions which can be applied by the sufferer themselves and I think it is worth taking a look at this, which I found last week. The site it is on also has a product which is a natural anti-inflammatory which you could also rub into the area of pain, as it appears to work at a cellular level. Hope this helps.
