About how much pain is to be expected after a Ganglion Cyst Surgery?

I am having this surgery on thursday. I know there will be a pain, but im not sure how much? What should I expect as far as how it will maybe look or react to things. I am just 19 and the Cyst is on my thumb. Can anyone offer any advice?
