I have major back pain from cheerleading. Help?

I’m a backspot for my cheer team, and recently, our coach is making us do harder stunts that take more strength. And with that, I’ve been having terrible aches in my lower back. I can’t take Tylenol or Aspirin or anything like that, so what should i do? Are there any stretches or exercises I can do before practice or after practice to lessen the pain?

Be sure to warm up and cool down before and after a workout. Some light stretching will help to loosen the tight muscles as well. Here are some great stretches and exercises that could be useful for you: http://www.straightenupuk.org If the problem persists see your doctor or a chiropractor.

What should you do? Quit cheerleading. Your back has to last a lifetime, and you don’t have a lifetime warranty.
