SCIATICA. Unbearable pain! Please help?

I think i have Sciatica.
I fit perfectly into the description. Its hurting on my right side. I can feel it in my lower back, my butt, and all the way down my leg.

What can I do about it? Is there some kind of cream/ointment/gel that i can use to ease the pain? Exercises that can help?

I’ve had it for a while and lately, the pain has been unbearable. Sometimes, i wake up in the morning and I cant stand up straight. That is when the pain is the worst.

Its weird because Im only 17

A pinched sciatic nerve can happen any time. My chiropractor keeps mine from crippling me.
NOT the fancy machine type chiro, but a simple hands-on $30 per visit kind. Stretch and flex exercises, manipulation.

You need to get to the doctor. Sciatica is a symptom of another problem, not a disease in an of itself. Something is pushing up against your sciatic nerve. Hopefully it is nothing serious, but please make sure.

Your problem must be the problem of Tendons along side of L4, L5, and Sacro. Your best bet is to go to see a Chiropractor who is familiar with Muscles and Tendons, or a Shiatsu therapist who is familiar with the Spinal Column. Never ever go to a MD, unless you need the drugs to kill a pain for a few hours. Never ever exercise when you have pain.

My first encounter with it was in the 4th grade.(of course I fad fallen off a 15′ cliff in San Pedro onto the rocks below,I think that’s where it started)
This is a painful remedy, but everyone I know has said this is what you should do.
What you will need is a cold ice pack, and a heating pad.
You lie flat on a hard surface(floor) and whichever side is hurting, you bring your knee on that side up to your chest, hold it.During this you add the ice pack, then the heat.you alternate this back and forth, while you bring your knee up to your chest.
This will hurt like hell, but what it does is un pinch the nerve causing the sciatica.
It will hurt after you do it also, but it relieves the pressure eventually.
I hate to do it,unless i get a severe attack, which usually cripples me and keeps me from walking.
Realize your other muscles will hurt, because you using them to compensate from the pain of walking normally.
Another thing I do is use Ibuprofen/tylenol.It’s an inflammatory. Each pill, normal dosage is about 200 mg.If the pain is severe,I usually take four. But I’m not a doctor and your liver can suffer from abuse to tylenol, over extended periods of time.

could be related to pinched nerve, ointments wont help internal pain per say, if you have fallen or twisted your body, something may have been bruised or damaged, before taken pain reducers like aspirin, check with medical advice, and chiropractor or physiotherapy may help, you may be best to rest leg pressure as well, and minimize heavy lifting,

Healer (not the dog kind) Says:

Streching exercises help, and gentle massage of teh area half way between the end of your spine and the top of your thigh bone. You will feel the spot exactly when you touch it. Lie down on the floor, put a tennis ball at the spot desrcibed above, and gently rock on and off it. The shape of the ball fits well into the hole on the pelvis where the sciatic nerve exits the pelvic cavity, and can gently massage the muscle that pinches the nerve right now. There are heaps of books around dealing with this, and giving further exercises to do. If you are prone to this, you should invest in one of them and do the exercises regularly.
