any suggestions on treating a pinched sciatic nerve?

my boyfriend has been having terrible back pain from a pinched sciatic nerve for the past week. he has a hard time getting up from a sitting position, bending over and lately hasnt even been able to pick up our 17 month old daughter. we cannot afford to send him to a chiropractor or a doctor so does anyone know of any stretches or homeopathic remedies that would help relieve some of the pain? thank you!

    Ahhhh,I feel for him,my hubby has had this issue too,quite painful…you could look into Kratom,which is a "natural" pain reliever(close to a Narcotic Effect)and look into Passion Flower(easy to find at any Herbal Store and also many larger chain Grocery Store/Retail for about 10$) as well…if I recall correctly I *believe* when taken in larger doses may have pain relieving properties,so it’s atleast worth a a look into to.

    You can use the following Essential Oils (diluted by drop into another oil or lotion and apply topically to area/for pain relief);

    Lavendar 6 drops
    Eucalyptus 1 drop
    Peppermint 2 drops

    These oils can be found at Herbal/Health Food Stores,and many larger chain retail stores (under 10$).

    The thing I try, is to strengthen the muscles in the back, it works for me if it’s too painful do not do this.
    Stand up with the feet slightly apart then bend forward very slowly until you just feel the pain is bearable and hold that position until the pain eases the bend forward a little bit more until you feel the pain again and hold until the pain goes again keep doing this until you feel better it may take some time before you have strengthen the muscles,
    Be very careful do not over do it or force the exercise it could be dangerous.
    Do not do any lifting until you are well on the way to feeling better.

    Rhus tox (30C) is a remedy well-known for supporting the back and associated tissue, especially for those who tend to lift heavy loads, whereas Colocynthis (30C) is recommended for supporting the health and comfort of the nerves and nervous system as a whole.

    Zanthoxylum clava herculis, Devil’s claw, Arctium lappa (Burdock) and German Chamomile are some herbs that soothe the sciatic nerve & relieve the pain of sciatica. They reduce inflammation and relieves pressure on the sciatic nerve. They also support the health of the spinal canal by preventing its calcification and stenosis
