I have a sprained ankle. What lower body & leg exercises can I do besides squats and lungs to tone my legs.?

The only leg muscle I may want to go easy on is the dorsi, other than the ones in my foot and ankle. I’d like to know what exercises I can do to strengthen and tone the rest of my leg muscles.
My sprain is a severity of 3 on a scale of 1 to 3, with 3 being the worst. The perineal muscles, ligaments, and tendons on the outside of the ankle are torn. I’ve been advised by an Orthopeodic surgeon not to drive for at least 3 weeks because he doesn’t want excessive motion of raising and lower my ankle or else the tear won’t heal. It’s been 2 and a half weeks and my ankle is still bruised and swollen, especially in the area where it’s torn. This is not your average sprained ankle, so I do need to give it time to heal, but I want to do something to keep myself going without further injury to my ankle.

    you only need to baby your ankle for a couple days. Why change your routine for that. Just take a couple days off. I’ve had many sprained ankles and I’ve never been told to stay off them for more than 2 days
