Strange treatment for pain upsets me?

I went for treatment for back pain and this is what was done to me by a physician.

- doctors hand pressing on pelvic area

-doctor putting my head in his lap and running his fingers through my hair

-hugging me while I laid on the exam table (though he lifted me up a bit while doing this)

I might try to justify this behavior but he wasn’t acting professional to say the least. He was acting all wound up I’m not sure how to put this into words. I sent a letter to the medical facility and when I called the director he hung up on me. I guess they think this is standard treatment. I was upset. What do you think, could this in any way be normal?

Could have been a chiropractic treatment to adjust the back bone. When he hugged you, where your arms crossed over your body? That is a standard treatment. However, in the future when you see a doctor for back pain, take someone with you to be in the room with you.

Its not ethical, but its normal.

Doctors and priests are notorious for abusing trust.

I would ask him, if you can what these procedures were exactly for.
But keep up with protesting against his behaviour. He may have his reasons for doing so and I hope he was not doing anything untoward.
It does not sound regular to me.
    Good luck.
