does anyone know what is the cause of pain starting from the lower back down to my toes caused by left side?

this has been going on over 8 yrs now ive had mri twice and cat scans im thinking maybe its the area they are scanning ….i fell down 4 steps and landed on the corner of the last one and ive had scans on the L3- L4 can it be lower or higher?
